Special Notice: This session is open only to educators participating in the Regional Education Consortium. School Division ID required at check in. Pre-registration required.
Participants in this two-day session will learn practical guidelines for encouraging pro-social behavior in the students in the classroom. Participants will learn the importance of the difference between procedures and classroom rules and how using them effectively builds a positive classroom climate for good discipline. This session complements the RTI Behavior Matrix that schools in Virginia are using to reduce discipline issues. This session is designed to take place over a two-day period so that the participants can actually create the procedures they need for their classroom on the first day; then on the second day, they will create the rules, consequences, and rewards that match the RTI Behavior Matrix required by the state.
