This session will provide a review of research on effectiveness of collaborative, Co-Teaching models of instruction; Demonstration of various Co-Teaching instructional models; testimonials from fellow teachers on pros & cons of Co-Teaching; administrative actions needed to adequately ensure collaboration culture & co-teacher partnerships are supported; benefits and barriers to lasting Co-Teaching efforts. Co-Teaching “take away” tools will be provided for all participants (e.g. Co-Teaching discipline checklist; Co-Teacher Contract/Shared Duties; Co-Teaching Lesson Plan(s); Co-Teacher Classroom Observation Form, etc.).
