Making sense of numbers truly begins before students enter our classrooms. A strong foundation in Number Sense is crucial for students to be successful in many mathematical concepts. In this session, learn how to build a strong foundation in Number Sense following the guidelines of the 2016 Mathematics Standards of Learning. We will incorporate the process goals outlies by the VDOE and build an activity bank supporting Number Sense in all learners. Walk away with practical strategies and activities ready to use on the first day of school!
