Introduction to Flux Cored Arc Welding. Course provides lecture and lab instruction in safety, theory, and hands-on applications. Contrasts of the unshielded and shielded varieties are provided with emphasis on limitations. Multiple positions are addressed as well as equipment operation and quality development. Program provides enhanced instruction of the FCAW process directed towards multiple position qualifications. Focus is based on environment factors, application, and safety with the purpose of developing industrial employment skills. Testing to American Welding Society standards is provided to those individuals who can meet or exceed the quality standards.
