Come see and experience the NEW VA 4-H Life Science Mobile Learning Lab! This will be an opportunity to learn about the lab, how it can fit into your curriculum, and how you can partner with 4-H to bring this mobile field trip to your school!
The Virginia 4-H Life Science Mobile Learning Lab engages students in high-tech STEM learning related to health and sciences. The lab features 6 interactive stations covering aspects of human and animal physiology, social and emotional learning, and environmental science. Students will explore emotions, try starfish breathing, explore a model of the human brain, examine taste buds and digestion, and even dive underwater through virtual reality to explore freshwater mussels. Additionally, learning kits are available for checkout and two outdoor classrooms are equipped with TV monitors for various lessons. The lab is designed to ignite interest in careers in health and life sciences and was funded by the Claude Moore Charitable Foundation.
